Today we had band from 10-2. We played e songs from shrek 2. It was so fun to play'em because i mean, the songs are so nice. We were kinda sight-reading e song. I downloaded e songs yesterday to find out how they sounded like and e funkytown was so cute. We are the chams is really nice too.
Too bad, Mr glosz came in and he started his normal talking about how our attitude is. I'm glad that he tells us these but, sometimes, when he starts talking, it never ends, and that's when it stretches until end of band and we can't play anymore! I know what he said makes sense, he was strict. He wanted to listen to the sec 1's play so i played, he didn't seem to be happy though. He said he wouldn't come down for e sec 1 & 2's practices until we could play properly COS he said none of us did individuals. i did. but not everyday thou.. i didn't come down to the band room because if i travelled to school at back home it'll take 2 hrs. If i did individuals in school for an hour, i'd still be wasting time on taking bus, soi usually bring back my clarinet when there's like a few days b4 the next band prac.
After his *teachings* we went for individuals/sectionals. yi xiong taught me e best of e beatles. After that... we had drills. DRILLS. 2nd time in my whole life doing drills. Actually, when i just came into band, i didn't know why we had to do drills during e band camp, now i know. And e seniors are strict. Its quite hard to understand wad they are saying though.
omgg. im listening to 'we are the champions' and its so nice.
ok, then, we did the drills till 2.30pm(it was oreddy passed e time we were supposed to be let out). We had to end off the drills by shouting 'TWE!'. I rushed to the band room and cleaned my instrument. Farah, Kekang, Benny, Eden gave us a talk, or like what u can say a lesson. Eden challenged us to self prac and everything to get rdy for all e performances. I WANT TO PLAY WELL. that was going through my head again n again while they were giving their speeches. Their speeches were touching. lol. i agree we are to dependant on e seniors. they said they were motivated bcos their seniors played good music. i know that nowadays, kids are getting more spoilt. hmm.. i think after that, band ended at.... eh... actually i can't quite rmb bcos i didn't notice e time and wen i got home, i ate and then i slept and then i woke up and now its late. XP
i have to say that, farah, eden, benny n kekang, i love music and i don't want twe to become rubbish that nobody appreciates. i have problems with my tone n my sis told me to practise holding long notes from the lowest note to maybe high high C or E. i'll try my best. no we have to b e best!. =) and i apologise for all e trouble e junior band has given ur.
i've been dreaming of e piano these few days... i can't even touch it for long or i'll get scolding from my dad all thanks to e exams.. can't wait till e end of this week and e piano's MINE! XD
